Established in 2002 Chez Spencer interior dominant features are high, arching wooden beams and skylights. Figure paintings and taxidermy adorn Chez Spencer's main dining area, which can accommodate forty + guests. The bar stands next to the delicious aromas from the wood-burning oven which lends a cozy charm to the already warm and gracious
ambience.

Chez Spencer offers extraordinary menu items for dinner. With it's moderately priced classic French fare and excellent wine selection, an elegant yet casual dining experience a waits those who enter through the restaurant's large outer gate. Diners are welcomed by a garden of flowers, olive trees and a lovely patio.
Chez Spencer Owner and Executive Chef Laurent Katgely, a native of Chamonix France, began his culinary career at the age of fourteen. A graduate of the Dignes Les Bains Culinary School, Laurent apprenticed at the Relais et Chateau La Bonne Etape, near Aix-en Provence, before going on to cook at several two-and-three-Stars Michelin rated restaurants. He came to the United States in 1992, working in New York , Los Angeles and San Francisco. His cooking has earned glowing reviews in Gourmet, Details, Playboy, Conde Nast Traveler (Hot Tables 2003), 7X7, New York Times, Bon Appetit, , Vanity Fair, Los Angeles Times, etc. Laurent has been on The Oprah Winfrey Show, Food Network-The Great Food Truck Race,TLC- Best Food Ever, Check Please- Bay Area, The Best Thing I Ever Ate and TF1 Le Reportage. He is also honored to be in the book "Best Chefs America" 2013 edition..
